Unfortunately, like you, I really have no time, since other topics of research takes all my time. But I wouldn't be as sure about the supremacy of drools over other rule engines, it's true that apart from Jess, I know of no other open source engine (I haven't looked for). But there are quite some excellent engines out there which really have lots of arguments for diputing first places. But these tools are not for free. These people have put years and years of heavy R&D in it. You may wanna have a look at my blog from time to time, I tackle topics around business rules quite often.<BR/><BR/>ah and university is really a nice time in life, and one thing about programming. What people call programming has nothing to do with the real thing, and having solid bases in computer science, which includes programming, would not go without some fundamental theoretical courses. But experience is at least as valuable as a good education, when the career path is chosen intelligently. I'm sure that's what you did.
